Arvo's Library

Arvo James MacLure was born at 22 weeks gestation, on June 26, 2022 at Massachusetts General Hospital and devastatingly, did not survive. Though his parents were able to hold him and make some precious memories, their dream of reading to him was not fulfilled.

With this in mind, Arvo’s Library was created to provide donated books to hospitals, allowing every family in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit to choose a book to keep and read together to promote bonding and infant brain development.

Arvo’s Library also helps to support bereaved families through providing a book to keep and read together to create lasting memories and provide a little bit of comfort during difficult times.

Arvo’s Library is funded by donations to Arvo James MacLure Memorial Foundation, Inc. It is a hope of ours that somehow, some way, Arvo will be listening, along with your babies, to the stories being read by many loving families for years to come.
